"20/20" REPORTS ON THE SEX SCANDALS THAT ARE IMPLODING THE WORLDS OF TWO SUPERSTAR POLITICIANS, TONIGHT, MAY 20 ON ABC

Plus: "20/20" and Consumer Reports Team Up for Special Report on Infomercials

In addition to the previously announced "Infomercial Nation," "20/20" will report on the sex scandals that are imploding the worlds of two superstar politicians -- the first, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the revelation of a "love child," and the second, a name less well-known but no less powerful, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, in line to become the next President of France, who just yesterday was indicted on seven counts of sexual assault against a hotel maid and, if convicted, could face up to 25 years in prison. As Chris Cuomo and Elizabeth Vargas report, the cases are radically different, but both raise questions about very powerful men who had everything, and now, may have everything to lose. "20/20" airs TONIGHT, FRIDAY, MAY 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Plus: The days of the infomercial known only as late-night TV viewing for insomniacs are long gone. Today infomercials are on 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offer diverse products for all viewers. In fact, the explosion and expansion of infomercial products has transcended TV; these products are now on store shelves nationwide. But how often does "too good to be true" ring true for infomercials? Who is watching - and buying -- the products that are being hawked by everyone from celebrities, fitness fanatics and other high-profile names?

From behind-the-scenes product testing with partner Consumer Reports, to an exclusive ABC News poll and interviews with celebrity spokespeople, to "Infomercial Idol," "20/20" gives viewers the 411 on everything they need to know to be informed and entertained consumers. "Infomercial Nation" features reporting from Deborah Roberts, Becky Worley and Jim Avila. Reports include:

· Infomercial Celebrities: Suzanne Somers, Cher and others reveal why they took the plunge into the wild world of infomercials. Roberts reports.

· Too Good To Be True?: From weight loss to health and exercise, Jim Avila takes a close look at the claims of some products and also asks industry self-regulators, as well as the top government watchdog at the Federal Trade Commission, about how well they protect consumers and why some infomercials continue to get on the air with overblown claims.

· The Products: From an exclusive ABC News poll on infomercials to the goofiest products ever, Becky Worley reports on the tale of the tape -- how big is the infomercial business, who's getting rich and who is buying what? Consumer Reports also takes viewers behind the scenes of their extensive testing center to put some of the hottest infomercial products to the test. Find out how well they do, and which products their experts recommend.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and Chris Cuomo. John R. Green is the executive producer of "Infomercial Nation." David Sloan is executive producer of 20/20.
