"AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS" CELEBRATES ITS 20TH SEASON ON ABC, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4

This Season's Grand Prize: Trip for 20 to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida

"Episode 2001" -- "America's Funniest Home Videos" begins its 20th season with all-new footage of what happens when adults, children and even inanimate objects are at their spontaneous best, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Hosted by Tom Bergeron, "America's Funniest Home Videos" is the longest-running primetime show in ABC history. Season premiere highlights: A hidden camera revealing a dog stealing bread from a toaster; a dog who waits every day for the ice cream truck to arrive (and to gobble down his daily ice cream cone); an office prank with a remote controlled spider; a man cutting down a tree -- which lands on his house; a salute to Florida, with clips collected from all over the Sunshine State; and a clip montage of people getting sprayed in the face by a faucet prank.

This season on "AFHV," the three $100,000 prize winners will compete for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Magic Kingdom. The winner of this year's best video will receive an amazing Grand Prize: A trip for 20 to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, with a one-of-a-kind VIP experience at the Magic Kingdom theme park - they'll have the entire place to themselves, after hours, for one evening. Keep watching for more details throughout the season about this prize.

In addition, as part of "AFHV's" 20th Anniversary, the top 20 funniest videos of all time will compete for an incredible prize, a cruise from anywhere that Disney Cruise Line sets sail, including Europe, The Bahamas, The Caribbean and the Mexican Riviera. There will also be three sweepstakes throughout the year where viewers at home will get a chance to win their own fabulous vacation experiences -- a 10-night Disney cruise to the Mediterranean, a 7-night Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World vacation, and a magical vacation to any Disney Park around the world including Florida California, Paris, Hong Kong or Tokyo.

In its 20 seasons to date, "America's Funniest Home Videos" has given away over $10 million in prize money and evaluated more than half a million videotapes from home viewers.
