ELIZABETH VARGAS REPORTS FROM THE TRIAL IN ITALY OF AMANDA KNOX, THE AMERICAN STUDENT ACCUSED, ALONG WITH HER FORMER ITALIAN BOYFRIEND, OF MURDERING HER ROOMMATE, ON ABC NEWS' "20/20"

Plus: "American Idol" Runner-Up Adam Lambert; John Stossel Interviews FOX News Channel's Glenn Beck

Elizabeth Vargas will report from Italy from the trial of American college student Amanda Knox, who is accused of murdering her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, in 2007, just six weeks after arriving to study abroad in the quaint, medieval town of Perugia, Italy. Knox, who is on trial with her former Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, is scheduled to testify on June 12. The two claim they were together at his apartment the night of the murder. A third man, Rudy Guede, has already been convicted and sentenced to 30 years. "20/20" has been following the case since the arrest, and has aired exclusive interviews with Knox's family, as well as obtained unprecedented access to both the prosecution and defense. Vargas' report airs on "20/20," FRIDAY, JUNE 12 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Vargas will also report for other ABC News broadcasts, including "Good Morning America," "Nightline" and "World News Weekend."

Plus: "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert speaks candidly to Chris Connelly in his first broadcast interview since coming out about his sexuality just this week.

Also: He is listened to on radio by eight million people every week, hosts his own highly-rated daily show on Fox News Channel, performs before large audiences on his comedy tour and was recently named one of Forbes' richest, most influential celebrities in America. He also attracts criticism from other media outlets, has sparked a lot of controversy and has even been accused of faking his emotions on air. He is Glenn Beck. What makes this conservative talk show host tick? In an interview with John Stossel, Beck talks about his career, his alcoholism, his mother's suicide and finding a religion Mormonism just to marry his wife.

And: From a very young age, 20-year-old Jessica Forsyth seemed to be a magnet for bad luck she broke her collarbone not once but twice, and had many other injuries. But this seemingly bad run of luck turned out to be a blessing. Doctors say that a metal plate which repaired one of the collarbone fractures probably saved Jessica's life when she defied the odds and survived being shot multiple times at close range by her ex-boyfriend while pregnant two years ago. Jim Avila reports.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. David Sloan is executive producer.
