DID A MOM CAUSE THE DEATH OF HER SON OR WAS A RARE EATING DISORDER TO BLAME?, ON ABC NEWS' "20/20," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24

Plus: A Man Who Lives Among Wolves and the Woman Willing to Give Up Everything for Him

Did Hannah Overton, a pregnant mom of four, become so overwhelmed and abusive with the arrival of Andrew, the four-year-old foster child they were trying to adopt, that she poisoned him with a deadly amount of salt? Or was the devout churchgoer with no criminal history wrongly accused of his death? "This case boils down to a woman who, basically, tortured a child," said prosecutor Sandra Eastwood, "becoming so enraged she forced him to have 23 teaspoons of hot pepper, and then watching him die in agony." Overton and her husband, Larry, backed by a community of fervent supporters, claimed there was a rush to judgmentthat the authorities had never considered alternate theories. The Overtons said that in the four months Andrew had lived with them, he had exhibited excessive tantrums and obsessive eating. They believe this unexplained behavior might have had something to do with his death. "Something was wrong with Andrew. I don't know exactly how or what happened to him," said Overton. "Something caused his sodium levels to rise, and it wasn't me." JuJu Chang's report airs on "20/20," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24 (10:00-11:00 pm, ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Plus: Shaun Ellis, founder of a wolf sanctuary at the Combe Martin Wildlife Park on England's southwest coast, has spent the past several years living among the wolves. He gave up comfort, a family and the civilization that surrounded him to learn everything he could about the behavior of wolves. Now his girlfriend must decide how far she will go for love. In conjunction with Animal Planet, "20/20" follows one woman's journey to the edge of madness, as she risks her life for the Wolf Man she loves. Bob Brown reports.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. David Sloan is executive producer.
